Chief of Police Edgardo A. Colón of the Upper Macungie Township Police is retiring after 8 years of service with the Township.

Chief Colón was the Department’s first Chief of Police and was appointed in 2012 to create the Department.

 

Prior to his service with Upper Macungie Township, Chief Colón had served with the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) for 21 years having retired as a Lieutenant and the Commander of the PSP Fogelsville Station.

 

Chief Colón is also a veteran of the United States Marine Corps (USMC).

 

Upper Macungie Township wishes Chief Colón much success and happiness as he pursues other interests in the private sector.

 

The effective date of Chief Colón’s retirement is Friday May 22, 2020.
