According to the National Weather Service, we are expecting a vigorous storm system that will move though this afternoon and this evening.
The main threats of this storm are high winds which include areas of NJ, all of DE and as far as southeast PA including Philadelphia. Wind gusts up to 60 mph are possible in the region especially late this morning through late this afternoon. Power outages are possible depending on location.
In addition, heavy rainfall is possible with possible flooding this afternoon through Friday morning.
A Flood watch is in effect.
Coastal flooding is possible on the tidal Delaware River, the upper portions of Delaware Bay, and the eastern shore of Chesapeake Bay during periods of high tide today.
