Make sure to get outside tonight. It’s the first of three Supermoons this year. It’s called the Super Worm Moon in reference to the ground beginning to thaw and earthworms that start appearing in early spring. Because of the moon’s close orbit to Earth it will appear brighter and larger than regular moons.
The best time to enjoy the Supermoon is right after moonrise today and before moonset on Tuesday, March 10th. The moon officially becomes full here on the East coast of the U.S. at 1:48 pm. according to NASA’s SkyCal
In addition to tonight’s Supermoon, you can also view the International Space Station from here in Pennsylvania at 6:30 am this morning.
