We are expecting wind gusts through early this evening and a low pressure system developing which will bring heavy rain and strong wind Sunday night through Monday according to the National Weather Service Philadelphia/Mount Holly.
According to the National Weather Service
1. A Wind Advisory remains in effect area wide through early this evening with wind gusts of 40-50 mph continuing until this time. These winds may be enough to cause some damage to trees and power outages. Winds will diminish around sunset.
2. The bigger concern is with a deepening low pressure system forecast to move northward through the Great Lakes region Sunday night through Monday bringing the area strong winds and heavy rainfall. There are indications this could be a significant wind event with wind gusts of at least 40-50 mph expected overnight Sunday night into Monday. The system will also bring an area wide 1 to 2 inches of rainfall. While this shouldn’t be enough to result in any significant flooding, there could be urban, small stream, and poor drainage type flooding issues.
