According to the National Christmas Tree Association, real Christmas trees are recyclable. They are biodegradable, which means they can be easily reused or recycled for mulch or other purposes.
In Allentown, Christmas trees will be picked up on recycling night the weeks of January 5th and January 19th. Simply remove all plastic bags, stands and any decorations. The Recycling staff will be making them into mulch.
