A hot, humid airmass builds into the region today according to a report from the National Weather Service.  Normal temperatures at this time of the year are in the 70’s to near 80 degrees. It will be more like mid-July.

Due to the heat and humidity, strong to severe thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening.  Damaging winds and hail are possible
