A Spotted Lanternfly sticky banding workshop is scheduled for Monday, April 15, 2019 at 5:30 p.m. for all Northampton County residents.  The workshop is presented by the Northampton County Conservation District.

The Spotted Lanternfly is an invasive species that impacts our trees, grapes, hops and vegetable crops as well as our quality of life.  Currently the lanternfly is in the form of egg masses that will be hatching soon.

This is a new program to help control the lanternfly.  One of the main efforts is to install sticky bands around the trees that the insect will be feeding on once they hatch.

Registration is not required, but it is suggested in order to have an idea of how many people to expect for the workshop.  Free bands will be provided for all who attend.

The workshop will be held at NC Human Services Building  2801 Emrick Bouldevard in Bethlehem, PA.
