Several officers and Chief Morris of Exeter Township Police Department in Reading joined over a dozen local children who needed a little pick-me-up this holiday season.
Officers strolled the aisles along with their partners and picked out special gifts for a loved one and maybe even something special for themselves. There were lots of smiles exchanged.
The local community helped pay for a large tray of cupcakes and offered monetary donations to the officers as they were shopping with the kids.
The event made some families holidays a little brighter.
SHOP with an Exeter COP was sponsored by the Exeter Target and Dairy Queen.
