Four officers from Upper Macungie Township Police Department are participating in the Law Enforcement United Road to Hope this weekend.  The bicycle ride honors the service and sacrifice of all law enforcement officers that have died in the line of duty.  Sgt. Cory Reader, Sgt. Dathan Schlegel, and Officer Mike Cardell, as well as Officer “Wild” Bill Rohrbach, who will be in a support role as one of the motorcycle units will ride from Reading, PA to Washington DC.
Each of the officers raised money to participate in this ride. The money goes towards funding C.O.P.S. Kids Camp, The Officer Down Memorial Page, and the Spirit of Blue Foundation.
We wish all the officers from the Upper Macungie Township Police Department as well as all officers  participating in this ride all the very best.  We also thank each one for their service to our community while remembering those who sacrificed and died in the line of duty.
