Hamilton Township, Pa,
This morning Camp Papillon Animal Shelter in the Poconos suffered a devastating loss according to the animal shelter’s facebook page.
Their cat cottage was completely destroyed by fire and all 10 of their fur babies in their care died.
Sheila Aleman has been the cat coordinator since 2017 helping to rescue hundreds of cats during her tenure.
As stated on their facebook post, to us, each and every little life is important. Each had their own stories of survival. They all made it here through challenges, 4 have been with us since March of 2019 rescued from a hoarding situation. Thanks to the best staff and volunteers they were surrounded by love, some for the first time in their lives.
Sabrina, Stella and Guinness were just kittens. Brayleigh, Belle, Nancy, Dennie, Hugo, Tango and Tao will be the angels helping us from above as we refocus and rebuild to continue the work we have always done.
Camp Papillion is thankful for everyone who’s helped them through the years:
We thank all of you who have helped us through the years to save so many lives.
Thank you to Blue Ridge Hook and Ladder and the surrounding area firefighters who helped us this morning. We will continue to do what we do with your continued support.
