Lehigh Valley, Pa,

While we are practicing “social distancing”, we can still go outdoors and enjoy nature.   It’s free and it’s also very healthy for you.

Being outdoors in nature is something I’ve always loved.  It’s my little sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of every day life.  It’s a place I can spend time alone, go with my children or take a friend.

Twice this week my boys and I went walking/hiking on the trails here in the Lehigh Valley. We explored, spent time at the Little Lehigh River and even did a little rock climbing.

The outdoors also makes for a great learning experience for children and youth of all ages.  You can teach your children about the Native Americans who once lived here in Eastern Pennsylvania, teach them about native plants, birds, the Little Lehigh  and those who settled here before us.

Take the time to enjoy nature.  It’s great for your mind, body and soul.   You will be amazed at how much better you feel after a walk outdoors.
