Colder this weekend.. monitoring Monday's system closely for snow...

Colder temperatures settle in as we head into the weekend, and the colder than average pattern is likely to remain in place for an extended period of time. Partly cloudy on Saturday with breezy conditions once again, with wind gusts 30-35mph likely most notably during the daylight hours. A partly cloudy and less breezy day follows on Sunday. Both weekend days are dry, but only managing the lower 30s for highs.

We'll be watching a system from late Sunday night and during the day Monday that could bring accumulating snowfall to the region, but this will be track dependent with the best odds at higher accumulations the farther south you go. As of now, there are still a lot of uncertainties of the northernmost extent of heavier precipitation, and we will monitor closely this weekend. We expect to have a first call map for this system Saturday on the Weather Alerts page on this website, and a follow-up with any changes to the forecast on Sunday. The remainder of the week is mostly sunny on Tuesday, followed by partly cloudy skies Wednesday through Friday with highs in the upper 20s to lower 30s during that period and breezy most days.
