ALLENTOWN, Pa. -
An 85-year-old man was pronounced dead, at 8:33 a.m., this morning as a result of a fatal hit-and-run accident. The accident took place at 7:01 a.m. at Jerome Street and Union Boulevard, according to Allentown Police.
According to the Lehigh County Coroner, he has been identified, but his name is not being released at this time allowing time for next of kin to be notified and the family to grieve privately during this tragic time.
A portion of Union Boulevard in Allentown had been closed during the investigation. The roadway is now open, according to the Allentown Police.
