After a record-breaking 371 days in space, astronaut Frank Rubio touched down at 7:17 a.m. EDT (1117 UTC) on Wednesday, Sept. 27.
Rubio traveled more than 157 million miles (250 million km) around the Earth, the equivalent of 328 trips to the Moon and back! He went on three spacewalks, witnessed the arrival of 15 spacecraft to the International Space Station, and participated in countless scientific experiments to help us better understand space and make life better back on Earth, according to NASA. It was the longest single spaceflight by a NASA astronaut
Rubio returned to Earth aboard the Soyuz MS-23 spacecraft, landing with two cosmonauts southeast of the remote town of Dzhezkazgan, Kazakhstan.
Welcome back Frank!
