A local firefighter, who was scheduled to speak at the Democratic National Convention, was cut from the lineup of speakers Monday night, according to WFMZ News.
Allentown firefighter Jeremy Warmkessel, who is the president of the IAFF Local 302, Allentown Firefighters, was scheduled to speak around 8 p.m.
Warmkessel was scheduled to address the topic of tax fairness.
Warmkessel told 69 News he will stay in Chicago until Wednesday.
According to WFMZ, it remains unclear if he will address the convention on a different evening. Should he do so, the speech will be streamed live on WFMZ.com, along with the entire event.
Vice President Kamala Harris, who is the Democratic presidential nominee, will speak Thursday night.
Harris will face off against Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump in the fall.
