ALLENTOWN, Pa. - A 35-year-old Bethlehem man died as a result of a drowning in the Lehigh River on Monday.
Antwan D. Daring was pronounced dead on Monday at 4:01 pm at St Luke's Hospital Allentown Campus, according to Lehigh County coroner, Daniel Buglio.
The manner of death was ruled an accident, according to the coroner and the cause was due to drowning, according to Buglio.
According to the coroner, Mr. Daring was recovered from the Lehigh River by members of the Allentown Fire Department.
Reportedly, Mr. Daring was tubing with friends and/or co-workers when the incident occurred.
The incident occurred on Monday, July 15, 2024, at approximately 3:00 pm near the 600 Block of Waterfront Drive, Allentown, Lehigh County, PA.

Authorities are investigating a deadly incident on the Lehigh River, according to Channel 69 News.
The incident took place Monday afternoon on a stretch of the river in Allentown.
The coroner told Channel 69 News that his office was called to the hospital for a man who had died in that incident.

Police were seen in the area of East Allen Street and Waterfront Drive. AFD's dive team was also on the scene.
Police tape was set up right next to the river.
