ALLENTOWN, Pa - If you noticed a helicopter flying around Allentown Saturday evening, there is a reason why.
The Allentown Police Chief announced on social media that the Allentown Police have partnered with the Pennsylvania State Police in an effort to enhance public safety.

The partnerships will continue through the summer to enhance relationships and make our community safer, according to Chief of Police, Charles Roca.
He also stated that he is grateful to the Pennsylvania State Police and the Allentown Police officers for working together to hold people accountable who choose to engage in criminal activity.

“Good evening Allentown community. I wanted to make you aware that you may have noticed a helicopter flying around the city this evening. As part of our ongoing effort to enhance public safety, we have partnered with the Pennsylvania State Police and have their helicopter unit assisting us this evening along with a contingent of troopers.
This partnership will continue through the summer to enhance relationships and make our community safer. I am grateful to the PSP and our officers working together to hold people accountable who choose to engage in criminal activity.” - Chief Roca
