At least 15 people are displaced after a motel fire in Allentown on Friday

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - At least 15 people are displaced after a motel fire in Allentown on Friday, according to WFMZ News.


It took place at the Royal Motel in the 900 block of East Congress Street.


Allentown Fire Department Deputy Chief Christian Williams said the fire broke out around noon.


No injuries are reported at this time, according to the report by WFMZ.


Four to six rooms are damaged, he said with a total of 12 units in the motel.


Crews turned the power off in the building, according to WFMZ The Red Cross is assisting those displaced by the fire, according to Williams.


There's no word on the cause of the fire at this time, according to the news report
