In a recent Instagram post, Barney, the well-known purple dinosaur spoke for the since 2010. He broke his silence for the first time in years to celebrate Valentine's Day.
The short video begins with a version of the song "I Love You" playing in the background as Barney says, "Hi friends".
The well-known purple dinosaur goes on to say, "I haven't seen some of you in a long time, but I always make sure to check in on my friends."
Barney sent waves across social media on Wednesday after everyone’s favorite purple dinosaur took to Instagram for the first time in a decade to spread the love on Valentine’s Day
The nostalgic dinosaur was a part of "Barney & Friends", a show that aired on PBS from 1992 to 2010.
In honor of Valentine's Day, Barney spoke on love.
"It seems like maybe we could all use a little reminder right now, a reminder of the super-dee-duper ability we all have to love one another and how important it is to show love towards yourself, too," he said. He went on to say, "After a long day on the playground of life, I want you to know you are seen, you are special, you are loved."
Rumors have spread about the potential of a reboot coming soon.
In Barney's closing statement, he seemed to confirm the rumors by stating, "Well, friends, it's been stupendous to see you all, and I have a feeling I'll be seeing you again soon."
