FRANKLIN TWP., Pa. - Beltzville State Park in Carbon County is closed for swimming until acceptable sample test results are received, according to the DCNR.
The closure comes from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and went into effect as of Wednesday.
The beach will remain closed as a precaution until the water sample test results are deemed acceptable, according to DCNR officials.
All other recreational activities at Beltzville State Park are open to the public.

Beltzville State Park beach closed to swimming due to re-sampling requirements.
The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) closed the Beach at Beltzville State Park to swimming effective May 29, 2024, because of resampling requirements. As a precaution, the beach will remain closed until acceptable water sample results are received. DCNR has posted signs at the beach.
Other activities at Beltzville State Park, Such as picnicking, hiking and fishing are proceeding as usual.
