Bethlehem Police Dept: Arrest warrant obtained in child sexual exploitation material investigation


On June 16, 2023, as the result of a joint investigation, the Bethlehem Police Department and Bethlehem Township Police department obtained an arrest warrant for 52-year-old Dr. Philip O’Brien of Bethlehem Township.

**The named individual is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.**


During the course of the investigation, it was determined O’Brien had produced child sexual exploitation material (CSEM) of a female child, whose identity is known to police.


O’Brien is charged with two counts of Sexual Abuse of Children, one count of Unlawful Contact with a Minor, and one count of Corruption of Minors.


He has not yet been arraigned, however police are aware of his whereabouts and anticipate this happening in the near future.
