Bicyclist seriously injured in hit-and-run accident in Palmer Township

PALMER TWP., Pa - Police in Northampton County are asking for the public's help.


Palmer Township police are currently investigating a hit-and-run accident involving an unknown type of vehicle and a bicyclist.


Police say a bicyclist suffered serious injuries and the unknown vehicle fled the scene on Tuesday evening July 16, 2024, at approximately 10:08 pm.


The accident took place on S. Greenwood Ave, south of Charlotte Ave, according to police.




Additionally, S Greenwood Avenue, between Washington Street and Norton Avenue, both North and South directions, will be closed for Accident Reconstruction Investigation until further notice, according to the police.






Palmer Township Police are asking for anyone with information or surveillance video regarding this accident, to contact Officer J. Rothrock at (610)-253-5844 ext. 1708, jrothrock@palmerpd.org or the non-emergency (610) 759-2200.
