ALLENTOWN, Pa - Cedar Crest College celebrated a groundbreaking ceremony on a state-of-the-art softball stadium.
On Saturday, April 20 they held a ceremony marking the start of a $2.5 million renovation to Cynthia L. Blaschak Softball Field.
With $ 1 million funded by a Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) grant, the project will transform the grass field into a state-of-the-art, all-year, all-weather turf field with lighting and enhanced drainage.

These upgrades will address weather limitations, ensuring player safety and benefiting student-athletes, coaches, and community groups who utilize the field.
Speakers at the ceremony included Dr. Elizabeth Meade, President of Cedar Crest College, John Zembron, Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees, Representative Mike Schlossberg and Mike Tuerk, Mayor of the City of Allentown.
