Celebrate National Nurses Week by showing how much you appreciate them

It's National Nurses Week and today we celebrate National Nurses Day!

On this day we recognize the important role that nurses play in society. It's also the first day of National Nurses Week and is sometimes known as National RN Recognition Day.

National Nurses Week ends on May 12th, which is the birthday of Florence Nightingale.

Florence Nightingale was a celebrated English, social reformer, statistician, and the founder of modern nursing, according to National Day Calendar, and became well-known while taking care of the wounded soldiers during the Crimean War. Nightingale was dubbed “The Lady with the Lamp” because of her habit of making rounds at night.

Show nurses in your life your appreciation for them by sending them a special message, e-mail, baking them a special treat, or taking them to dinner - Let them know how special they are to you.
