EMMAUS, Pa. - The pedestrian who lost their life after being struck by a train in Emmaus yesterday has been identified as 68-year-old Teresa G. Bell, according to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio.
Bell was pronounced dead on the scene at 1:54 p.m. in the 200 Block of South Third Street in Lehigh County. According to the coroner, her cause of death was due to "multiple blunt force injuries due to pedestrian/train collision." The accident took place at 1:11 p.m.
According to preliminary reports, it is believed that Bell was attempting to cross the tracks when she was struck. - The investigation remains active and ongoing.

"My deepest and heartfelt condolences are with the family, friends, neighbors and entire Emmaus community as they grieve the sudden and tragic loss of Teresa," Buglio said in his report.
WFMZ reported that none of the Norfolk Southern crews were injured in the incident.
The Emmaus Police Department is investigating this tragedy along with help from the Norfolk Southern Police Department.
