WILLIAMS TWP., Pa - On Wednesday, July, 24 a group of kayakers discovered a body in the Delaware River.
According to Trooper Nathan Branosky, the body was located approximately 25 feet from the shoreline at 830 South Delaware Drive in Williams Township, Northampton County.
The deceased was then transported from the scene by the Northampton County Coroner's Office for an autopsy.
The individual has been identified as Louis A. Cosenza, a 60-year-old man from Easton, PA.
It was found that Mr. Cosenza was using a flotation device on the Delaware River in the City of Easton on Saturday, July 20, 2024 when he entered the water for an unknown reason and did not resurface, according to the coroner's report.
Cosenza was not wearing a life preserver at the time, according to the coroner's office.
The cause and manner of death are pending further investigation and no further information will be released at this time.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and loved ones.
