Crash closes Route 222 in Maidencreek Township

MAIDENCREEK TWP., Pa. - An accident closed a section of Route 222 in Maidencreek Township Wednesday morning, according to WFMZ News.

Emergency officials closed down the southbound lanes just before 9 a.m. and diverted traffic onto Route 73.

According to reports, there is no word about how many vehicles were involved or if anyone was injured.

As of 10:50 a.m., the road remained closed for accident investigation and reconstruction.

Drivers are being advised to follow all posted detours.
