Crews battled a 3-alarm apartment building fire in Allentown ( Photos)

ALLENTOWN, PA -


Firefighters battled a 3-alarm apartment building fire in Allentown on Monday.


Crews were called to North 17th Street at approximately 5:00 pm, according to dispatchers.


Heavy fire was seen through the roof of the second floor, into the third floor and attic area.

A plume of smoke could be seen as far as Ward Street, according to WFMZ.


Thankfully, everyone made it out of the house, and no injuries were reported, according to the news report.


There is no word on how many people were displaced due to the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
