Crews respond to fire in Monroe County Wednesday, woman and some pets escape

WGOLV.COM CHESTNUTHILL TWP., Pa. - Crews responded to a house fire in Monroe County Wednesday.


According to county dispatchers, the fire began on the 1100 block of Red Pine Road in Chestnuthill Township shortly before 1:30 p.m.



Dispatchers reported that a woman and several pets managed to escape unharmed.


However, a few cats did not survive, according to dispatchers.


The origin of the fire is still unknown. The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal is currently conducting an investigation. according to Channel 69 News.
