Dorney Park's Halloween Haunt returns with terrifying 'scare zones' and their new Tricks or Treat event

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Dorney Park's Halloween festivities will return starting Friday, Sept. 13, including their famous Halloween Haunt and the all-new Tricks and Treats event.

The Halloween Haunt transforms the park into a sinister, ghostly location filled with terrifying attractions known as "scare zones," where attendees can tour nightmarish installations filled with ghoulishly costumed performers.

The newest scare zone will be announced Thursday, Sept. 5.

The Haunt will feature six scare zones, night rides on the new Iron Menace roller coaster, and seven haunted mazes for guests to explore.

Returning Haunt attractions include:

  • The Ghost In The Machine: Introduced in 2023, this haunted maze tells the chilling backstory of the Iron Menace roller coaster while leading guests on a harrowing, nightmarish adventure through the remnants of Hiram McTavish’s old factory.

  • Restaurants: Tourist Trap, Blood on the Bayou, Trick or Treat, Blackout, Necropolis and Roadside Stop N’ Chop.

  • Scare zones: Carnevil, Port of Call, Midway Misfits, The Hollow and Dystopia.

New to Dorney's Halloween celebration is the Tricks or Treats event, in which children and adults alike can enjoy spooky autumn-themed activities and entertainment.

These include:

  • Trick or Treat Trail

    • Youngsters can get a supply of their favorite treats from costumed characters at this immersive trick-or-treating event.

  • New entertainment and live performances

  • New fall-themed food

  • Halloween costume contests

  • Seasonal make-and-take crafts

  • Patch’s Pumpkin Patch

    • A pumpkin decorating station will help guests create gourd art.

  • "Brews, potions and magical elixirs" for guests over 21 years old

"We are excited to bring this new, over-the-top Halloween experience to guests of all ages," said Jessica Naderman, general manager and vice president of Dorney Park. "Tricks and Treats offers something for everyone to love. Bring the entire family, kids, parents and Dorney grandparents, and make new, unforgettable memories together!"
