Eight Allentown police officers were celebrated during a promotion ceremony at City Council Chambers

Mayor Matt Tuerk and Police Chief Charles Roca along with family, friends and dignitaries joined together at Allentown City Hall this past week to congratulate our newly promoted Officers of the Allentown Police Department.


Eight Allentown police officers were celebrated during the promotion ceremony in City Council Chambers.

Mayor Matt Tuerk and Police Chief Charles Roca presided as officers Stephen Milkovits, Matthew Karnish, Joseph Iannetta, Leonard Fritzinger, Stephen Rosenberger, Neil Battoni, William Skriletz, and Stephen Fiorillo to the oath of office and received their department badges.

Stephen Milkovits was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in December 2022. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Kutztown University.

Matthew Karnish was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in December 2022. He holds an Associate of Arts degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Lehigh Carbon Community College.

Joseph Iannetta was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in December 2022. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from La Salle University.

Leonard Fritzinger was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in December 2022. He holds an Associate of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Lehigh Carbon Community College.

Stephen Rosenberger was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in December 2022. He attended Northampton Community College.

Neil Battoni was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in December 2022. He attended Northampton Community College and is a U.S. Army Veteran.

William Skriletz was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in December 2022. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Accounting from Moravian College.

Stephen Fiorillo was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in February 2023. He attended Lackawanna College.
