Firefighters stop the advance of the fire in Lehigh Township to protect the homes

LEHIGH TWP., Pa - According to Lehigh Township Volunteer Fire Company, the evening operation has begun, the day shift crews are ending their 12-14 hr shift and passing operations onto the DCNR State Wildland Crews.


They say the fire is moving slowly down the mountain as planned and the backburn secured the southwest area.

According to the Facebook post, there are crews all around the fire overnight working and will be in structural protection locations into the morning.


The fire company says they will continue to update you in the morning.


They said, "The crews are overwhelmed with your support and they thank you!"
