BETHLEHEM, PA. -
According to an article by WFMZ News, a former Bethlehem police officer is suing the department and the city for alleged gender and race-based discrimination.
A lawsuit was filed by Tina Vu claiming she was subjected to sexist remarks by a deputy police chief. She also says she was the only Asian officer on the force and was wrongfully terminated following her response to a large fight outside a bar, according to the news report.
The suit, among other things, is seeking, unspecified monetary damages and Vu's reinstatement in the department.
It's not clear if the city has responded to the lawsuit.
