According to the National Weather Service, the coldest air of the season is coming.
Widespread freezing temps will occur late Wednesday night into early Thursday morning.
Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 27 are possible for portions of Delaware, the eastern shores of Maryland, New Jersey, and southeast Pennsylvania.
Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
