PLAINFIELD TWP., Pa. - A full-service restaurant in Northampton County announced on Facebook Thursday that they will close until further notice.
American Lobster, known for Maine lobster tails, filet mignon, and other steak and seafood made the following announcement on Facebook, " due to staffing and the rising cost of food. American Lobster is closed until further notice." They told those on Facebook to "Stay tuned for more updates."

American Lobster is located at 1420 Jacobsburg Road in Wind Gap, PA.
The restaurant has become popular for its weekly specials, featuring a 14-ounce prime rib served with whipped potatoes, vegetable du jour, and a house salad for $29.95 on Fridays and Saturdays, and on Sundays, a dozen little neck clams for only $4.99.
