Fundraiser: Multigenerational farming family suffers devastating barn fire

U. SAUCON TWP., Pa. - On Saturday evening, a fire destroyed the Stahler Family Farm in Upper Saucon Township.

The main barn, where all of the trucks, tractors, combines, planters, implements, and other tools and equipment burned to the ground.

Lehigh County dispatchers first reported the second alarm fire around 10:30 pm.

The farm is located at 4556 East Valley Road - The farm belongs to a multigenerational farming family in Center Valley. The Stahler Family has been farming in the Lehigh Valley for over 100 years. The original farm was located on East Saucon Valley Road, where the Corporate Park/Promenade Shops stand today.

According to the GoFundMe, the loss of the items in the barn is roughly into the millions - not including the loss of income from the loss of harvesting and hauling equipment.

If you wish to help the Stahler family continue farming in the Lehigh Valley, please consider giving to the GoFundMe.

The GoFundMe was organized by Mr. Stahler's daughters and additional information can be found in the "read more" section of the GoFundMe.

Without the use of trucks and equipment, they will no longer be able to continue farming.

The GoFundMe can be found here:

According to Upper Saucon Township Fire Chief Chuck Castetter, no one was injured in the fire, and the fire's cause has not yet been determined.
