The New York Giants lost two more offensive linemen - John Michael Schmitz and Shane Lemieux to an injury in week 4. They are in desperate need of reinforcements.
According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports, the Giants will sign Justin Pugh to their practice squad. This comes after a workout last week. Pugh is 6-foot-5, 311 pounds, and expected to be a practice squad elevation and likely to eventually sign to the 53-man roster.
Pugh was signed with the Arizona Cardinals as a free agent and played 57 games over five years with the Cardinals but became a free agent after last season. Previously, he had been selected by the Giants with the 19th overall pick in the 2013 NFL draft out of Syracuse and started 63 games over five seasons at tackle and guard.
