ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The Great Allentown Fair is looking for scrapple enthusiasts to join the First Annual Scrapple Eating Contest on Saturday, August 31st.
The event, sponsored by Stoltzfus Meats, is scheduled to take place at 3 p.m. at the Astound Broadband Farmerama Theater.
Competitors will be challenged to eat as much scrapple as possible within two minutes. Any "upchucking" will result in disqualification.
Space is limited, so people with healthy appetites and strong stomachs are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
So let’s celebrate the Pennsylvania Dutch around the Lehigh Valley with a special event highlighting the “meatloaf” of breakfast, scrapple!
