COOPERSBURG, Pa - On Saturday, January 11th the body of a 39-year-old woman from Elizabeth Township, New Jersey was discovered in a dumpster in Coopersburg.
The body was found in the 200 block of South 3rd Street near the Santander Bank Branch off Route 309.
Lucrecia Jadan Sumba was pronounced dead at 5:55 pm, and as per the Lehigh County Coroner, her death was ruled a homicide. She died of sharp force injuries, according to the coroner. An autopsy was conducted today.
In addition to the coroner's office, the Elizabeth Police Department in Elizabeth, NJ and the
Union County Prosecutor's Office in Elizabeth, NJ, is investigating the case.
The Lehigh County District Attorney's Office and the Coopersburg Police Department assisted at the scene.
