Lehigh County lifts temporary burn ban

LEHIGH COUNTY, Pa - According to a press release, the County of Lehigh has lifted its temporary burn ban that has been in effect since Friday, November 15, 2024.

The burn ban prohibited all forms of open burning.

The County passed the temporary burn ban at the urging of the top municipal fire officials

throughout Lehigh County. This recommendation underscored the urgent need to mitigate fire

hazards and protect life and property in Lehigh County.

Municipalities with existing ordinances prohibiting open burning must continue following them even after this temporary burn ban expires.
