EASTON, Pa - From now until March 9 the community of Easton will be making hearts of all shapes and sizes to fill the windows and public spaces throughout the city. Within just a few weeks, it will showcase their love of the city they reside in.
They welcome everyone to become involved and portray their kindness through this work of art.
The city is hoping to make over 28,000 hearts in total.
Ron Morris, co-owner of The Mercantile Home chose the number not by mistake, but because "it is the current population of Easton. There will be one heart for every resident of the city. "
Most of the hearts can be found in public spaces and windows all the way from Free Bridge to 15th Street and along 3rd Street Downtown.
Initiative manager Kim of Main Street says, "There are many ways to join in and help: making hearts, hanging hearts in your home or business windows, volunteering to help install hearts around the city, and more."
Co-owner of The Mercantile Home Ken Jones Jr. stated, "The enthusiasm in the community around the project is very contagious. Folks are already creating so many inventive, unique, wonderful hearts by recycling all kinds of paper and other materials".
Love, Easton is "turning the city into a gigantic art piece that embodies the kindness, creativity, and good vibes for which Easton has become known!"
