Man charged after shots fired within an Allentown home

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - An Allentown man is facing charges after gunfire broke out in a home on Thursday morning, according to a news release from the Allentown Police.
Officers responded around 9:15 a.m. to the 200 block of N. Eighth Street after a report of gunshots fired within the home, as stated in a news release by the police.
Investigators found evidence that shots had been fired and a loaded gun was also found, according to the release.

Joseph Saluta, 40, who resides at the home, was taken into custody without incident, the police said. He is facing charges of persons not allowed to possess a firearm, simple assault, and reckless endangerment.
According to the police, no one was hurt.
