Do you enjoy the beautiful outdoors? If so, you are in for a surprise!
According to CNN, the National Park Service will be offering six free days to all their parks throughout the upcoming year, making it easier for the public to explore the great outdoors and the beauty that our national parks have to offer.
The following are the dates/ holidays which you may enter free of charge:
Note: You may still have to pay for certain amenities like camping, boat launches or special tours.
January 15: Birthday of Martin Luther King Jr.
April 20: First day of National Park Week
June 19: Juneteenth National Independence Day
August 4: Anniversary of The Great American Outdoors Act
September 28: National Public Lands Day
November 11: Veterans Day
“National parks are America’s best idea, and there are more than 400 parks available to everyone, every day. The fee-free days provide a great opportunity to visit a new place or an old favorite, especially one of the national parks that normally charge an entrance fee. The others are free all the time.”
Out of 428 parks, 110 parks are free to the public year-round.
