New Jersey State Police is requesting the public's help in an animal cruelty case which took place on the Garden State Parkway South, near milepost 119.4 on the local road in Aberdeen Township, Monmouth County, according to a recent Facebook post.
On February 27, 2025, around 11:00 a.m., troopers were called to the New Jersey Turnpike Authority’s Telegraph Hill Maintenance Yard about a report of animal cruelty. NJTA maintenance staff found four large "Retriever" brand dog food bags on the Garden State Parkway South, near milepost 119.4, containing the bodies of four deceased brown dogs.

Further investigation showed that the four dogs were Pitbull mixes with injuries consistent with dog fighting.
If anyone witnessed or has information about possible dog fighting activities, please reach out to the Troop “D” Holmdel - Criminal Investigation Office at 732-441-4500 ext. 7426
