One person sent to the hospital after fire in Bethlehem Saturday afternoon, dog rescued

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Crews responded to a fire in Bethlehem on Saturday afternoon. 


Dispatchers in Northampton County reported the fire was located at a home in the 400 block of West Union Boulevard in Bethlehem. 


The call came in shortly before 4:30 pm, according to officials.

According to Mike Nester when fire units reached the scene, they observed smoke and a person hanging out of a window on the 3rd floor.


EMS and UGI were on the scene, but officials could not confirm if the fire was gas related at this point, according to Channel 69 news. 


Crews also rescued a dog from the residence and one person was transported to the hospital, according to Nester.
