The recent warm spell has slowed the transition of color across the Commonwealth, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.
A strong progression of color throughout Penn’s Woods is expected as we have a pronounced cooldown over the weekend.
Currently, much of the northern tier is at peak color, with remarkable vibrancy in many areas, according to the DCNR.
Much of the Allegheny Plateau and the northern Appalachians are approaching best color, indicating that the best is yet to come.
