A person was tragically killed on Wednesday when they ended up in the engine of an airplane at Amsterdam's main airport.
The victim, who has not been publicly identified, was drawn into the engine of a departing KLM Cityhopper Embraer at Amsterdam Schiphol airport, as reported by The Sun.
The plane, bound for Billund, Denmark, was scheduled to take off at 2:25 p.m. local time, according to FlightAware.

It was not immediately clear if the victim was a passenger or a crew member.
A statement on X: "KLM CityHopper Embraer E-190 (PH-EZL, built 2010) experienced a fatal incident during pushback at Amsterdam-Schiphol Airport (EHAM), Netherlands when a person was somehow dragged into the running engine. Flight #KL1341 was about to depart to Billund when the accident occurred."
In another statement posted on X (Twitter), the airport said: "Today there was a horrible incident where a person ended up in an airplane engine.
"Our thoughts go out to the relatives and we care for the passengers and colleagues who witnessed this.
