Police from multiple departments respond to incident in Fountain Hill Tuesday evening, roads closed as police investigate

FOUNTAIN HILL, Pa. - Update - The shelter-in-place has been lifted per command.

According to reports, one suspect was transported to the hospital and the second is in custody.


Police are responding to an incident in Fountain Hill Tuesday evening.


Local police departments and the Lehigh County Municipal Emergency Response Team are responding to the vicinity of Fountain Hill Pharmacy at the intersection of Broadway and Hoffert Streets, according to Lehigh County dispatchers.

According to the report, dispatchers say a burglary was in progress and shots were fired at the officer. This is yet to be confirmed.


The incident is located at 1049 Broadway.


Reports also state that two suspects are involved.


Delaware Avenue, Broadway, and Lynn Street are closed down for the police incident, according to the dispatchers.


Police were called to that location just after 8:30 p.m.
