Police set up crime scene tape after house fire in Northampton County Wednesday

PALMER TWP., Pa. - Police have set up crime scene tape at the scene of a house fire in Northampton County.


A fire broke out Wednesday afternoon at a home located on Country Side Court in Palmer Township, according to county dispatchers, and was brought under control at about 5:45 pm.




According to dispatchers, the fire was reported on the second floor, and one person was taken to the hospital.


Pennsylvania State Police and local police responded to the scene.


The cause and origin of the fire are under investigation.


Palmer Township Police are asking people to avoid Country Side Court.


Police say there is no threat to the public.


Officials say they will release more information Thursday morning.
