Popular Italian restaurant in Hanover Township closed indefinitely following earlier fire

HANOVER TWP., Pa - A second alarm fire in Hanover Township has a popular Italian restaurant closed indefinitely.


The fire was first reported at approximately 9:00 am this morning by Northampton County dispatchers.


The announcement on the Facebook page of Nonna Sulina's Restaurant states the following:


It is with a heavy heart that today, we face unexpected circumstances that require us to close Nonna Sulina's Restaurant for the day, and until further notice. Please know that this decision was made with the utmost consideration for your safety and well-being. We are actively addressing the situation and will keep you updated as soon as possible.


*We will also be closed at Nonna's Italian Market as well, Today Sunday July 21st. We will reopen at the market on Tuesday July 23rd.


We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and sincerely appreciate your understanding during this time. Your continued support means the world to us, and we are committed to ensuring that we remain transparent with you and keep you in the loop.

Northampton Communications has confirmed that the fire is now out, and no injuries were reported, according to WFMZ News.

Nonna's Italian Market on Schoenersville Road will reopen on Tuesday, according to the Facebook announcement above.
